Recuperators (economizers)

Showing 1 to 13 of 13 (1 Pages)

Due to the development of energy-saving technologies, air recuperators have gained particular popularity.

The main purpose of the recuperator is to transfer thermal energy from the extracted exhaust air to the supply air supplied to the room. In this case, thermal energy is understood as both thermal and cooling energy, that is, the exhaust air can give both its heat and its cold to the incoming air, heating or cooling it. Such energy production is relevant both in winter and in summer.

In winter, the recuperator's task is to provide "free" heating of the supply air at the expense of the exhaust air. For this, the cold air flow from the street and the warm exhaust airflow from the room are fed to the heat exchanger, where the exhaust air heats the supply air. Since the exhaust air would still be removed from the street, we can say that this heating occurs without additional costs.

For a ventilation installation, such heating allows you to significantly save on the power of an electric or water heater.
